How does consignment work?

CONSIGNMENT IS WHEN YOU ENTER A BUSINESS AGREEMENT AND PARTNERSHIP WITH A STORE THAT AGREES TO ATTEMPT TO SELL YOUR ITEMS FOR YOU. IN OUR CASE, WE LEASE SPACE TO YOU FOR 60 DAYS, 6 MONTHS OR THE DURATION OF THE CURRENT SEASON.


YOUR FEE FOR LEASING OUR SPACE IS THE COMMISSION WE TAKE FROM YOU IF YOUR ITEMS SELL. THIS IS WHY WE ARE VERY STRICT ABOUT ADHERING TO OUR CONSIGNMENT GUIDELINES.


WE DO NOT WANT TO TAKE ITEMS IF WE DO NOT BELIEVE OUR CUSTOMERS WILL BUY THEM. TIME IS VALUABLE FOR EVERYONE AND WE DO NOT WANT TO WASTE ANYONES. 

When do you accept consignments?

Consignments are BY APPOINTMENT ONLY Tuesday through Friday 11am to 5:30pm.

SUMMER: WE ARE FULL FOR SUMMER CONSIGNMENTS

FALL: August 15th through October 15th for 

​

WINTER: November 15th through January 15th 

​

SPRING: February 15th through April 15th

How do I get my items ready to consign?

HOW TO CONSIGN

  1. CALL 518.869.1677 OR EMAIL US AT FIFISALBANY@gmail.COM TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT

  2. WE ACCEPT CONSIGNMENT BY APPOINTMENT ONLY 

  3. BRING UP TO 20 ITEMS TO YOUR FIRST SCHEDULED IN-STORE APPOINTMENT.

  4. READ AND SIGN CONSIGNMENT CONTRACT. YOUR ACCOUNT IS ACTIVE FOR ONE YEAR FROM THE DATE OF YOUR LAST CONSIGNMENT.

  5. BE ON TOP OF YOUR OWNACCOUNT. WE HAVE WELL OVER 2,000 CONSIGNORS AND CAN'T POSSIBLY CALL EVERY ONE OF YOU EVERY TIME SOMETHING SELLS. WE NOW HAVE A CONSIGNMENT INVENTORY MANAGEMENT PROGRAM WHERE YOU CAN DO SO ONLINE. 

  6. YOU MUST MAKE AN APPOINTMENT. WE WILL TURN AWAY WALK-INS, WE ARE SIMPLY TOO BUSY. WHEN WE ACCEPT WALK-INS THE APPOINTMENT IS RUSHED, NO ONE RECEIVES THE SERVICE THEY DESERVE AND MERCHANDISE HAS TOO MUCH POTENTIAL FOR GETTING LOST OR MIXED UP. 

  7. FOLLOW ALL THE GUIDELINES FOR HOW TO PREPARE ITEMS.
